Denver DEN: What to Do on a Layover

Getting from the airport

DEN to city center: 37 minutes by rail (RTD A Line). Fare is $10. Trains run every 15 minutes. Service runs 04:30 to 01:30. Skip the taxi unless your connection is under 5 hours.

What to do in Denver

The stops worth making: Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Rocky Mountain National Park day trip, 16th Street Mall, Denver Art Museum. Rated above 4.4: Coors Field (4.7), Denver Zoo (4.6), Denver Botanic Gardens (4.8), Denver Museum of Nature & Science (4.7), Meow Wolf Denver's Convergence Station (4.5). You do not need the full tourist circuit. Pick two and commit.
