CGK to city center: 71 minutes by rail (SHIA - BNI City). Trains run every 30 minutes. Service runs 06:00 to 23:30. Skip the taxi unless your connection is under 5 hours.
What to do in Jakarta
The stops worth making: Tanah Abang market, Monas monument, SCBD district, Traditional batik. Rated above 4.4: National Monument (4.6), Bundaran HI (4.8), Senayan Park (4.6), Tebet Eco Park (4.7), National Museum of Indonesia (4.7). You do not need the full tourist circuit. Pick two and commit.
