Privacy Policy
What we collect
layover.ing™ is operated by LayoverHQ, LC (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what data we collect, why, and with whom it is shared.
Account. Creating an account requires an email address. We use your email to send booking-related transactional messages. We do not sell your email.
Waitlist. If you join the waitlist, we collect your email address to notify you of product updates. Your email is not shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
Search. When you search for flights, your origin, destination, and dates are transmitted to our flight data providers to retrieve prices and availability. Anonymous usage events are captured by our analytics providers to help us understand which routes people search. We do not link search queries to identities. Aggregated, anonymized search trends (e.g. popular routes, demand patterns) may be shared with airline and travel industry partners to support route planning. This data does not identify you.
Booking. When you book, we collect passenger name and nationality to transmit to our booking infrastructure provider. We do not store full payment card details. Payment is processed by our payment provider. See “Third-party services” below.
Cookies and analytics
We use analytics providers to understand how people find and use layover.ing™. Analytics cookies are set only if you consent. These help us understand which routes and cities people search.
If you consent to targeted advertising cookies, we share data with advertising and social media platforms to measure campaign performance and reach relevant travelers. You can opt out of this sharing at any time using the cookie preferences link in the footer.
We use basic server-side logging (IP address, request path, timestamp) for security and diagnostics. These logs are retained for a maximum of 30 days by our hosting provider.
Your opt-out rights
You can opt out of targeted advertising and analytics at any time. Open cookie preferences to manage your choices. Choices take effect immediately without a page reload.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA). You have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal data for targeted advertising. Use the cookie preferences panel or email privacy@layover.ing.
EEA/UK residents (GDPR/UK GDPR). We rely on your consent for analytics and advertising cookies. You may withdraw consent at any time. You also have rights of access, rectification, erasure, and portability under applicable law.
Third-party services
We use third-party providers to operate the platform. Each processes data under their own privacy policies and our data processing agreements.

Data retention
Account data is retained until you request deletion. Booking records (name, nationality, booking reference) are retained for 90 days after the booking date for support purposes, then anonymized. Server-side logs are deleted after 30 days.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time. Email us at privacy@layover.ing. EEA residents have additional rights under GDPR, including the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
