Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Layover.ing is operated by LayoverHQ, Inc. We help travelers find strategic layover routes that save money and make the most of time between flights. Our registered contact email is privacy@layoverhq.com.

2. What we collect

• Email address (waitlist signup)
• Search queries (origin, destination, dates) — used to return flight results
• Anonymous session ID and country code (set via cookie for visit analytics)
• Uber account data (name, profile) when you connect your Uber account for ride booking

3. How we use your data

• To send a single launch notification email (waitlist only)
• To return relevant flight and layover results for your search
• To book rides on your behalf via Uber when you explicitly request it
• To improve the product through aggregated, anonymized analytics

4. Third-party services

We use the following third-party services to operate the product: Uber (ride dispatch), Supabase (data storage), PostHog (analytics), Sentry (error monitoring), and Resend (transactional email). Each service operates under its own privacy policy.

5. Uber data

When you connect your Uber account, we request access to your Uber profile and the ability to request rides on your behalf. We store your Uber access token securely and use it only to fulfill ride requests you initiate. You can revoke access at any time from your Uber account settings at auth.uber.com.

6. Data retention

Waitlist emails are deleted upon request. Uber tokens are stored for up to 30 days or until revoked. Search queries are not stored beyond the session.

7. Your rights

You may request deletion of any personal data we hold by emailing privacy@layoverhq.com. We will respond within 30 days.
